Raku Snowman derived from the pottery wheel. There are holes in the shoulders to add a lolly pop for your guests or some cool stick arms. This vase is wheel thrown, hand painted, and Raku fired. The Raku firing is an intense type of firing where the pieces are heated up to 1800 degrees, and then pulled out of the hot kiln, and placed into a bucket full of newspaper. The carbon is then soaked into the clay, and it reveals the crazing in the glaze, and gives the crackle effect. This process makes these pieces even more of a one of a kind. This vase is a nice color accent, and will add color to any enviornment
